Craig Blakely, Ph.D., M.P.H, dean of the Texas A&M Health Science Center School of Rural Public Health, has been appointed to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control International Advisory Group by C. O. Onyebuchi Chukwu, M.D., the Honourable Minister of Health of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“This appointment is made in recognition of your contributions to international public health and achievements in medicine,” stated A. Nasidi, M.D., Ph.D., director of the Nigerian Center for Disease Control. “Please accept the assurances of my highest regards.”

The appointment begins October 2012.
